AC Milan

AC Milan loss to Liverpool in the final of the Champions League of 2005 was bitter. After leading 3:0 at half time the team lost the title in a penalties shoot out. Two years later Milan got a chance to redeem its honor. The tournament of the 2006-2007 season ended in a final that brought these same two clubs together for a match. AC Milan beat Liverpool 2:1, settling the score. This was the 7th and last win so far of the European Cup (The Champions League) by Milan. An achievement that is only second to Real Madrid’s 12 wins of this cup.

AC Milan is one of the biggest clubs in Italian and international club football. The club has won 18 Serie A titles, the first of which came in 1901 and the last so far in 2011. They won additional 5 Italian cups, 7 Italian Super Cups, the UEFA Super Cup 5 times, The Cup Winners Cup twice, the Intercontinental Cup 3 times and the title that replaced it, the FIFA Club World Cup, once, and as mentioned 7 times the European Cup.
